COMBAT

WHEN TO FIGHT

screen.gif

Given Recent events, Participants are now being trained and prepared to fight. This had always been on the cards and yet was intended to be introduced much later.

Participants may find themselves in situations where they need to fight as events progress, outside of this, they will be allowed to schedule fights in the combat training room. These fights are closely monitored by Margo and may see further restrictions to their abilities being added.

They are not restricted from using their abilities during combat.

Please note: Participants will still be punished for cheating or using their abilities outwith combat training and necessary occurrences. Fights which go 'too far' will be stopped.

THE COMBAT SYSTEM

The Syndicate's combat system is inspired both by D&D and the Rp group Seize Olympus. Participants will roll against each other while completing RP posts and play out the fight until the end, the strength of attacks, defense, and speed are all measured by dice rolls.

The posts should be completed in the following format:

PLAYER 1: ROLLS DEX ((INTENT TO HIT))

PLAYER 2: ROLLS DEX ((ATTEMPT TO DODGE))

If Player 1's DEX is HIGHER than Player 2's- Then the attack HITS

If Player 2's DEX is HIGHER than Player 1's- Then the attack MISSES

OC NAME [DEX] HP: Post explaining DODGE action

OC NAME [DEX] HP: Post explaining DODGE action

At this point, if Player 1's attack MISSED then they will switch positions with Player 2 attacking and Player 1 dodging.

If the attack HIT then they roll to STR vs DEF

PLAYER 1: ROLLS STR ((HOW HARD IS THE HIT))

PLAYER 2: ROLLS DEF ((HOW WELL THEY TAKE THE HIT))

HP DAMAGE is calculated via STR - DEF (eg: 5-2= 3 hp lost),

However, if the DEF roll is higher than the STR roll, then 1 HP point is lost as default as the attack still made contact.

OC NAME [DEF] HP: Post explaining ATTACK DEFENDING action

After this point the roles are switched with Player 2 attacking Player 1.

COMBAT REWARDS

QWP98sk.gif

Completing a fight either to -10 HP or to 0HP comes with a reward.

The fight should be correctly logged (see the above example) and submitted via the Battle log form. From there, your OC will gain 1 POINT towards gaining a new stat.

After completing two fights you will be able to choose which stat you wish to give +1 to.

BATTLE LOGS will also gain you 100 credits for every 20 posts you complete in the battle. This will ensure fairness and that those who are able to battle more often to do not gain too many points.
